Last week some Les Ettes riders attended the Nikita Goodie Lady Session. For the 3rd time, the Session took place in Thyon les Collons. This snowboard and freestyle ski contest, organized by Central Camps, is a ‘for girls only’ contest. Around 30 Girls came from all over Europe to compete in Central Park of the 4 Vallée resort. Girls from Spain, Germany and the UK joined the local girls, showing that the feminine freestyle scene is growing faster every year.
The riding level during the session was decent despite the snowy conditions. On the two kickers many girls showed some nice spin tricks, proofing that the ladies are stepping it up with more and more technical riding. Same thing counts for the jib obstacles: It was a reunion of style and grace.
In the end it was Anais Cetou from Switzerland who dominated the field with a 360 Combo on the jumbs to bs lipslide on the downrail, boardslide over the rainbow rail, bs180 bonk over the barrel finally finishing her run with a 270 fsboardslide on the straight box. In second and third place came Laura Berry from the UK and Gilly Seagrave, as well from the UK.
But a session like this doesn't really know winners and loosers. The name Goodie Session was taken literally and all the competitors went home with some nice presents form the event sponsors. The day ended with a funny Pasta Dinner followed by some dancing later in the night. Next day the bright light of fresh snow glittering in the sun woke us up and we spend another awesome day on the slopes of the 4 Vallée Resort.
