FIRST 'OUR CAMP' OF 2008!

Our friends and partners from all-girls camps OUR CAMP welcome the new year with their first camp of 2008:

"The week at More Mountain Chalet has been sold out since November and we have been gathering goodies from the camp sponsors, Etnies and 2 Seasons as well as some very generous friends Les Ettes, Nikita and The Park- the goodie bags are bulging and the spot prizes withh be well worth winning! As usual the snow gods have been very kind to us and provided more than enough white stuff for us to play on. Avoriaz now has a super pipe, 3 parks of varying sizes (with about 10 parks in the Portes Du Soleil area!) and one of the most fun freeride jib runs on the planet- The Burton STASH. "

Natasza's Christmas Ski Trip

I had a very nice Christmas this year. First I went to eat Polish
dinner at my mom's house in Vancouver. The next day my dad, sister,
and I went ski touring in the backcountry past Whistler. It was a
beautiful powder day. It felt weird to ski again cause I haven't tried
it for so long. The first run they sent me down was steep, with tight
trees and about 30 cm of powder. I was really stiff and had bad style
but I lived. We stayed over night in a cabin with a wood stove. There
was no one else there and we were cosy.

LISA IN ISREAL

Hi there!

I hope you guys had a nice Christmas!
For the first time i celebrated Christmas away from home but with my family.
My sister had just booked a journey to Israel for my parents and me, so we
had no chance to say no. Haha.
First we were two days in Jerusalem. So many different cultures and
religions live together in this little country. The old city of Jerusalem is
just mind blowing. When you walk through the Armenian, Christian, Jewish,
and Muslim Quarters you get so many impressions! and then we went down to
the red sea and we also stopped at the dead sea. It is so much fun to swim
in there. Must be pretty cool to go there if you cannot swim, cause you just
float in the water. From there we headed on to the red sea. Elat, which is
the most southerly city of Isreal is right on the border to Jordan and
Egypt. It is a very nice place to go snorkling or diving. We just snorkled,
but it was pretty cool, we could see so many different kinds of fish. And
above the water the landscape is just stone desert, with a few, very
beautiful oasis in between.
After three days there we went back to Tel Aviv and had a nice Israeli
dinner at my sisters friends. Tel Aviv is the more modern city, but there is
also the beautiful historic Jaffa port.
On our whole trip we saw Kalashnikovs everywere. It doesn´t give a very good
feeling, but it seems to be a normal situation for the Israelis.
I really enjoyed the trip, the people were all friendly and nice and the
food was amazing.

Check out the pics and I wish you a Happy New Year!

Shalom!
